Education is the backbone of any community's future - and Central Florida is no exception.  Several years ago, then-Governor Jeb Bush implemented a grading system for Florida public schools.  Within each county, each individual school receives a grade each year based on a set of standard criteria established by the State.  While Central Florida is home to some excellent private schools, they are not graded by this system.

Below you can find the Central Florida County of your choice and find general information about the public school system and individual schools in the five counties of Central Florida as well as an encompassing resource link for private schools.  

Central Florida is also home to the University of Central Florida, the largest enrolled student body in the state.  Its latest addition has been the opening of its medical school in the Lake Nona Medical City complex. 

In addition, Central Florida has a host of excellent higher learning institutions including: FAMU law school, Daytona State College, Full Sail University (gaming and graphic design), Rollins College, Seminole State College, Stetson University, as well as several technical colleges and schools.
