Named after the Central Florida Indian tribe, the Timacua - Timacuan is a terrific and well-kept 400 acre planned community with it main entrance on Reinhart Road in Lake Mary.

It began in the 1980’s on farmland and orange groves and today the community is completely built-out. Timacuan consists of than 500 homes in nine separate and distinct neighborhoods. Those neighborhoods include: Clubhouse Cove, Eagle Run, Hopewell Creek, Hunter’s Ridge, Lake Dawson, Signature Cove, Stratton Hill and Summerlin.

Running throughout the community is the semi-private Timacuan Golf & Country Club’s 18 hole championship golf course, complete with driving range, teaching academy and dining facilities. The course is ranked among the top 20 in Florida.

In addition, Timacuan borders the Crystal Lake Preserve. This additional 40 acre parcel is being kept in its natural state and currently hiking trails and educational facilities are planned for it.

Homes in Timacuan range from production built to custom and vary in size from 1500 sq feet to more than 3000. Golf course front, view as well as lakefront and lake view homes are available.

Running along its front entrance is the Seminole Wekiva bike path and trail which allows travel some 15 miles of bike paths and trails. Just a few minutes from the back gate, is the Lake Mary Sports Complex which includes ball fields and a skateboard park.

Timacuan supports clubs such as the Parents and Children of Timacuan – a social club with monthly get-togethers, parties and themed events and the Trailblazers – a club which works along the 2 mile portion of trail which runs along Reinhart Blvd and the Lake Mary Playground and Splash Park.

The community is very close to the conveniences of everyday life, with many restaurants, and plenty of shopping within minutes in all directions. Downtown Orlando is some 20 miles to the southwest. Access to I-4 is excellent.
