Central Florida’s Daytona Beach was the original birthplace of NASCAR where races actually took place right on the beach – and where you can still drive your car on the beach today.  Each year, Central Florida becomes the national spotlight for NASCAR’s world-famous auto race – the Daytona 500.  Arguably the most well known of all NASCAR races, the event caps 10 days of racing each February during what is locally known as “Race Week”.   

During the year, NASCAR racing teams return to Central Florida again and again to vie for the winner’s circle in Daytona – January marks the Rolex 24, each May hosts the Daytona 200 and each 4^th of July, with the Coke Zero 400.   

If you are a racing enthusiast – getting in on the race action in Central Florida is simply right up the road !
